Prime Minister Tarō Asō says Sailor Moon is not reality

Japanese Prime Minister Tarō Asō visited South Korea foreign exchange event between Japanese and Korean high school students on Sunday, and talked about the significance of cultural exchange. Prime Minister Tarō Asō used Sailor Moon as an example how reality is different from the portrayals of the two countries, saying that the Koren and Japanese students in the fictional anime are not reality. Gen Con's bankruptcy hearing updated.

Update on Gen Con’s Bankruptcy Court hearing this past Friday plan of reorganization was approved, clearing the way for the company to emerge from bankruptcy. Nickelodeon SpongeBob SquarePants 10 year anniversary!

Nickelodeon plans to make 'Happy Squared' to honor SpongeBob SquarePants’ 10th anniversary this 2009. Spongebob launch in July 1999, SpongeBob SquarePants with 70 million viewers monthly, and has been the number-one animated program with Kids 2-11 for more than seven consecutive years. SpongeBob SquarePants will make its dry-land debut in Park City, Utah, during the 2009 Film Festival with the first-ever SpongeBob live cast performance, on Jan. 18. along with that Nickelodeon will show its first-ever SpongeBob documentary featuring SpongeBob and The Big Green Help pro-social campaign special TV events. Astro Boy world premiere at New York Comic Con 2009

Summit Entertainment sneak peek at the upcoming Astro Boy CGI film produced by Imagi Entertainment due out in 10/23/09 will be shown at this years NYCC. Konami loses battle with Upper Deck over Yu-Gi-Oh! playing cards

A Court decision in California and Europe denied Konami’s efforts to stop The Upper Deck Co. from continuing to distribute Japanese manga Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. Upper Deck will continue to distribute market and sell Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG products in territories outside of Asia. Upper Deck has been producing Yu-Gi-Oh! cards for the last 8 years. Fox teams up with SSD to make live-action TV series "City Hunter" created by: Tsukasa Hojo

Fox has signed an agreement with Korean production company SSD to produce and distribute a live-action TV series Created by Tsukasa Hojo. “City Hunter” manga originally appeared in “Shonen Jump". Fox TV Studios and SSD will joint-produce 13 episodes to be distributed worldwide. Korean actor Chung Woo-sung will star in the series (marking the first Asian actor to headline a U.S. TV drama)and other Hollywood stars will also be joining the filming that will take place in Tokyo and Seoul starting next year. via: ICV2.com
