Muppets and Mechanisms: Jim Henson’s Legacy: Cosponsored by, the Museum’s Lemelson Center for the Study of Invention& Innovation @ National Museum of American the exhibit covered Henson's work in-depth from the art and science of puppetry, dissecting "hand-and-rod Muppets" to the complicated animatronics figures of the 1982 film The Dark Crystal. The Jim Henson Legacy, Jim Henson's Fantastic World is currently still on exhibit at Smithsonian's International Gallery, 10/5/08 this exhibit is a rare insight into Jim Henson personal vision of his beloved characters.
