Fox teams up with SSD to make live-action TV series "City Hunter" created by: Tsukasa Hojo

Fox has signed an agreement with Korean production company SSD to produce and distribute a live-action TV series Created by Tsukasa Hojo. “City Hunter” manga originally appeared in “Shonen Jump". Fox TV Studios and SSD will joint-produce 13 episodes to be distributed worldwide. Korean actor Chung Woo-sung will star in the series (marking the first Asian actor to headline a U.S. TV drama)and other Hollywood stars will also be joining the filming that will take place in Tokyo and Seoul starting next year. via: ICV2.com

Tim and Eric Awesome show goes on Tour 2009

Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! is a tv series created by Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim back in February 11, 2007 on Adult Swim. The show consists comedic live-action materials, sketches, songs, and mocking commercials etc. The Tim and Eric Awesome Tour will Be in New York @ Nokia Theatre Times Square 1/30/2009 and Washington DC @ Sixth & I Historic Synagogue 2/2/2009. The episodes are sold on iTunes and Xbox Live Marketplace, and can be viewed on the Adult Swim website after TV airing. A fourth season of the show will begin airing in January 2009. via: Adult Swim

Keanu Reeves Live-action film Cowboy-Bebop set for 2011

Keanu Reeves did a brief update for MTV on his live-action project Cowboy Bebop. This project has been a passion of Keanu for years and now is finally in production for 2011. Keanu has been a fan of anime since his youth, this new live-action film will follow the sci-fi anime story line of Cowboy Bebop. If your not fimaliar with the anime Cowboy Bebop is a Japanese animated television series now featured on Adult Swim @4:30am. Directed by Shinichirō Watanabe and written by Keiko Nobumoto. Consisting of 26 episodes, the series follows the adventures of a group of bounty hunters traveling on their spaceship "the Bebop" in the year 2071. It is considered one of the best anime series ever made. A perfect role for Reeves who will play lead star Spike Spiegel. Via: Screenrant

Universal and Stuber Prods. is in the mist of entering a movie deal with toy company Spin Master to capitalize on the latest toy craze among boys. "Bakugan Battle Brawlers" is a Japanese anime show on the Cartoon Network as well as a strategic game that uses metal cards and magnetic, spring-loaded miniature figures that transform from marblelike balls into toy monsters. The anime on Cartoon Network is about creatures called Bakugan and human battle brawlers who wield them. Bakugan creatures Pyrus Drago, Haos Tigrerra, Ventus Skyress, Subterra Gorem and Darkus Hydranoid are involved in a battle in a parallel dimension called Vestroia that spills into ours. which all parties believe will the anime/game will translate well into an all-ages action-adventure movie.
