RZA presents Afro Samuri Resurrection

RZA’s new compilation of tracks from the hit anime series Afro Samurai will be released om 1/29/09. The show also stars the voice of Samuel L. Jackson. Afro Samurai: Resurrection features songs from the show’s second season. Via: Exclaim

Andre 3000 "Class of 3000"

OutKast's member: Andre 3000 & Cartoon Network along with Turner Broadcasting may have a $2 million lawsuit for copyright infringement. Local postal worker Timothy McGee alleges characters, artwork and storyline concepts were all based on his ideas for a project called "The Music Factory". Andre 3000 is credited with the creation, executive production plus a starring role in "Class of 3000" the lawsuit is based off Mr. McGee claims he offered his series "The Music Factory" which shares similar characters in Atalanta's music scene (as dose "Class of 3000")was rejected by Cartoon Network executive producer Michael Lazzo in 1997, While a similar cartoon from Andrea 3000 appears in 2006. 8Bitpeople Blimp Festival 2008

The BLIP FESTIVAL 2008 is a 4 day event starting tonight @ The Bell House showcasing nearly 40 musicians and visual artists, presented by Manhattan art organization THE TANK and NYC artist collective 8BITPEOPLES. Using the legacy video game & home computer hardware as modern artistic instrumentation. Devices such as the Nintendo Entertainment System, Commodore 64, Atari ST, and Nintendo Game Boy to make original, low-res, high-impact electronic music and visuals. Halo Trilogy soundtrack

Microsoft teamed up w/ Sumthing Else Music Works to release a five-disc set of the full Halo Trilogy original soundtrack. The set includes one disc for Halo: Combat Evolved, one for Halo 2, two discs devoted to Halo 3, and a bonus disc featuring Halo Wars. The Halo Wars disc contains four preview tracks from the upcoming game! Set to be released tomorrow, the soundtrack can be download at Sumthing Digital.

Sven Väth & Richie Hawtin Cocoon closing party @ Amnesia Disco Invaders Comic

Amnesia is club in San Antonio (Sant Antoni), Ibiza situated in the Islas Baleares. The ‘finca’ (country house) was built in the late 1800's and occupied by five generations of Planells. Then much much later, it was sold to Fuencisla Maria Martinez de Campos and Munoz. In 1974, a young man from Madrid, with a degree in philosophy came on to the scene. His name was Antonio Escohotado, and he rented the house and was known as an apostle for drug experimentation's. By this time hippies came to the island looking for an untouched nature paradise. Eventually the house became "Amnesia" derived from a Greek etmythology. The hippie’s played in live bands danced till dawn, prepared vegetarian meals and experimented with LSD. Later, Ginés Sánchez took over Amnesia and its nocturnal life and promotes it throughout Europe. The Discotheque went from egg-carton soundproofing to a new, powerful and captivating sound. In the 1990's the Berlin wall came down and house music became international. In 1999 UNESCO's World Heritage committee recognized Ibiza's unique cultural and historical legacy, demonstrated both through the historical city and the archaeological sites around its periphery. The island also reaches one hundred thousand habitats. Present: Every Monday night Cocoon takes over Amnesia.......and Techno Disc-jockeys like Sven Väth to Danny Tenaglia get on the mixers...here is a flyer from the most recent closing party. Akiba Fest the Japaneses Pop music showcase, out promoting its latest event though it's still pending a date will be some time early 2009, the location I was told will be in Washington DC, Moresay will definitely be there to check out this event and will keep you posted on the set date!

BLIP FESTIVAL 2008

8bitpeoples announces Blip Festival '08. If your not familiar with the festival its a gathering chip musicians and low-bit artists from around the world. This years four day event will start on 12/4/08 @ Studio B in Brooklyn, New York. Artist lineup has not been confirmed but will be announced soon.
