Obana O's & Cap'n McCain by: Airbed & Breakfest

AirBed & Breakfast recently wanted to get people hyped up to vote! ( while sending traffic to their site) Came out with an edible cereals featuring this year's presidential candidates on the box: Obama O’s (honey oats) & Cap’n McCain’s (quaker puffs). There are two catchy jingles for each cereal and also there is also a official Webpage where you can vote for the cereal you prefer. Each box costs $39 ( of which 5% goes to the actual campaigns) & only 500 of each made. Since there is a high demand for the cereal, shipping supposedly takes 10 days to receive by mail. Airbed & Breakfast is a new travel site where you can book rooms with local people instead of hotels. The idea is to save you money and make you new friends along the way! Learn more.

Airbed and Breakfast are liars. I fell for this scam. I bought a box of Obama O's ($49 shipped) because the FAQ read:

"Did you really only make 500 of each? Yes! Once they're gone, they're gone. "

The other day I checked to see if they were sold out and I noticed that when I clicked the buy button it said (unnumbered) next to the item in the cart. I figured this meant that they decided to make more than 500 boxes of each. That really pissed me off. I paid $49 for a box of cereal only because it was limited to 500 boxes. Stamping a number on a box does not make it a limited addition!

A few days later they changed their FAQ to read:

"Did you really only make 500 numbered of each? Yes! Once the numbered versions are gone, they're gone. "

This was done after the initial 500 boxes sold!
