Scientists are gathering for this years annual workshop "Are We Alone?"@ Edinburgh's Royal Observatory. There are now more than 300 planets ("exo-planets") known beyond Earths Solar System. Instruments like Scuba 2 can detect dust from the earliest formation phases of galaxies. The workshop gathers researchers of astrophysics, geophysics and biology to discuss astronomical instruments, to study extreme environments. There will be speakers in astrobiology, atmospheric physics and astrophysics, from universities across the country & international institutions.
