Americas full service family restaurant Denny's managed to raise and donate $113,232.59 to the U.S Marine Corps Reserves' "Toys for Tots" program. The successes of the fundraising is a first for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves partnerships with a nationwide restaurant chain in it's history. Denny’s believes in the importance of giving back to the community, especially to those children in need this Holidays season. The Denny’s Cares $1 Ornament Holiday Program ran from November 17 to December 10, 2008 in participating Denny’s restaurants across the U.S. in support of the Toys for Tots. Also those who donated received a Denny’s Cares Dollar Coupon to be used during their next visit. About Toys for Tots: A 61-year-old charitable program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves that provides toys, books, sporting equipment which will contribute to the social educational development of children in need.
